Cops trace missing baby within 24 hrs

New Delhi: The quick response of the Delhi police helped in tracing a child, who had gone missing from Hindu Rao Hospital within 24 hours. On Saturday it was reported that, a four-day-old girl child was missing from the ward 10 of Gynecology department of Hindu Rao hospital.

It was found that Mrs Reshma, who was the mother of the child was to be discharged on Sunday. She said that she had handed over her child to another patient called Ms Firdosh admitted in the same ward to be given to her mother-in-law. She further said that she came to know about the missing child only when the pediatrician asked the child for examination.

The hospital author ities said, Firdosh didn’t do so and took away the baby. As soon as it came to notice of the doctors, who visited to see mother and child on round, the police was informed.

Immediately the police came in action and CCTV footage of the ward was checked which helped the police identify the accused.
