New Delhi: While the rape incidents went up by three per cent in the national capital during the parliamentary sessions starting from 2017 Monsoon Session to 2018 budget session, no questions were raised by any of the six Bharatiya Janata Party’s MPs in the parliament related to women.

The Delhi MPs asked only six per cent questions related to crime from 2017 Monsoon to 2018 Budget sessions. According to the data released by Praja Foundation on Thursday, as many as 2,207 incidents were reported during this period, which is three per cent more than the incidents reported in the corresponding period in the previous year. Dr Harshvardhan, MP of BJP was is not included in this report as he is holding a union minister post in Central government. The further show that a total questions asked during Monsoon 2017 to budget 2018 were 381 from which only 23 were crime related while the total number of questions raised from budget 2014-2018, of 1,589 questions raised, only 65 were on crime.

It was also stated by the data that BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi asked 6 questions related to crime issues, Parvesh Sahib Singh asked 5, Udit Raj 5, Mahesh Giri 3, Ramesh Bidhuri 3 and Manoj Tiwari 1.
