Some bureaucrats acting like goons, says minister

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party minister Rajendar Pal Gautam on Saturday said that the officers are acting like goons in the national capital. He said that as the services department is not under the city government, the officers have problem listening to the AAP government.

Mr Gautam said that the officers should be aware of accountability for the public.

He alleged that the officials work at the behest of the Centre and have taken the advantage of the services department not being under the purview of the Delhi government.

He said that the administrative work has come to halt in the Delhi secretariat for the past three days.

Mr Gautam said that the wrong environment has been created between the government and officials regarding the delay of files. “It is not right to stop the functioning of Delhi, officials and the ministers should work together,” he said. The minister has alleged that officials are organising “camps” without informing the minister.
