The police is on the lookout for a driver who fled after he rammed his car into two policemen in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar on Wednesday morning.
New Delhi: The Moti Bagh police is on the lookout for a driver after he allegedly rammed his car into two policemen in West Dselhi’s Moti Nagar on Wednesday morning. The two policemen sustained critical injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The two injured policemen have been identified as Ram Kishan and Parikshit. According to the injured policeman, Parikshit, the incident took place on Wednesday morning around 8 am at Patel Nagar traffic circle.
At around 8.15 am, the constable along with ASI Ram Bhagat and constable Ram Kishan were carrying out a check on vehicles indulging in over speeding near Zakheera flyover. As the check was going on, a wireless messaged flashed, informing the poliemen on duty regarding a car driven at a speed of over 75 kilometers in a negligent manner heading towards Punjabi Bagh.
As the cops tried to flag down the overspeeding car, the car driver allegedly threatened them to move aside. In a fraction of seconds, the accused driver hit the two policemen and fled from the spot.
Ram Kishan and Parikshit sustained injuries and were moved to a nearby hospital where after administering first-aid. Based on the car registration number, the police has launched a man hunt to nab the fleeing driver.
