New Delhi: Two people were arrested by the Delhi police after the duo allegedly thrashed a night beat policeman on duty under Uttam Nagar police station limits and tore his uniform. The accused have been identified as Mohit Sharma and Satyanand.

The police said that the injured constable identified as Paramveer, constable with Uttam Nagar police station was on foot patrolling on the night of May 16 when the incident took place.

In his complaint, the constable said that it was around late on night when he was patrolling the area. As he was walking from Dwaraka More towards Uttam Nagar he noticed a suspicious activity and when neared saw a man standing in the constricted by-lane.

He appeared to be suspicious and was asked by Paramveer to go home. After advising the man, Paramveer walked away. When constable Paramveer went to check after some time, he found the same people standing there whom he had asked to go home. Swung into action, Paramveer nabbed Mohit but in no time, his associate Satyanand reached there and the duo allegedly thrashed the constable.
