BJP protests Nath’s nomination as CM, Bagga goes on fast

New Delhi: While Delhi BJP on Monday welcomed Congress leader Sajjan Kumar conviction in a case related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, hundreds of party workers staged a protest near the Congress headquarters in the national capital against Kamal Nath being nominated as the Madhya Pradesh chief minister, who they alleged was involved in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

While a Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga started an indefinite hunger strike against Mr Nath being nominated for the post of chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Reacting to Sajjan Kumar conviction, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that this decision of the high court is sufficient to show that the character and behavior of Congress party is violent and cruel which is dangerous for the unity and integrity of the country.

“Congress has always tried to divide the country into communities and castes and has always disregarded the interest of the people and given highest priority to its own interests. This is a historic decision which has proved that a person of any status committing crime is always a criminal under the judicial system,” Mr Tiwari added.
