New Delhi: Both BJP and AAP ministers should come out of the comfort of their AC rooms and address the severe water scarcity problem faced by the people of Delhi, said Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken on Sunday.

While addressing the people on the 17th day of the month-long “Jal Satyagrah”, Mr Maken said it is unfortunate that at a time when Delhi is passing through emergency-like situations arising because of pollution levels crossing the danger mark, water scarcity and issues related to electricity, Mr Kejriwal and BJP are sitting on dharna in AC rooms.

Highlighting the “inc-ompetence” of the Kejriwal government to regulate the public transport system, he said the pollution level in Delhi has crossed the danger mark.

He added that “the previous 5,500 buses in DTC fleet have been reduced to 3,500. This eventually coerced the people to use two-wheelers and their private vehicles in plenty, due to which the pollution level has crossed the danger mark”.
