New Delhi:  A 28-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside his room in southeast Delhi's Okhla area on Sunday morning, police said.

The deceased, Raju Tamang, had shifted to Delhi around two years back. His family is in Nepal while he was staying in the city alone, they said.

Tamang was staying on the second floor of the building where he was working as a peon, police said.

The incident was reported by the victim's colleague, who had to break open the door of Tamang's room after he did not answer the former's calls.

The co-worker found Tamang's body hanging from the ceiling, they said.

No suicide note has been found, police said, adding that investigation is on.
