Delhi Police sub-inspector held on graft charges

New Delhi: The CBI on Friday arrested a sub-inspector of Delhi Police for allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Sub-inspector Kailashwati was posted at Janakpuri police station in the West Delhi area.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) spokesperson R K Gaur said a case was registered on a complaint that the sub-inspector had demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000 for showing favour to the complainant in a case being investigated by her.
"After registration of the case, a trap was laid and the accused was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant. Searches have been conducted at the premises of the accused," he said.
