New Delhi: In a bid to reach out to the Delhiites with their developmental agenda, the Delhi BJP is now planning to sell its in-house magazine, Bhajpa Sandesh, from newsstands in the national capital. The quarterly magazine will be re-launched in its new flavour on Wednesday.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari told this newspaper that the price of the magazine has been fixed at Rs 30 and that initially the party plans to place 10, 000 copies at newsstands across the city.

“Till now the magazine, which is the party’s mouthpiece, was only available to BJP’s active members. With the new issue, we are planning to sell it to the general public. Based on the response, we will increase the number of copies accordingly,” added Mr Tiwari.

‘Bhajpa Sandesh’ is a subscription based quarterly magazine for the party’s active members and is being published for the last 11 years. The magazine was irregular and in the last six months, only one edition came out. Now, the state leadership has decided to revive and re-launch the magazine. The second edition of this month will be launched in two days.

“All seven BJP Lok Sabha members from the city will contribute in all the editions from now onwards. It will contain an interview of a Union minister, talking about initiatives and achievements of his or her ministry. In this edition we will be publishing the interview of national general secretary (organisation) Ram Lal. The sole objective is to connect with a larger audience,” said Mr Tiwari.

According to the Delhi BJP president, the party has decided to constitute a new editorial board with independent members. The party is also planning to engage a team of media professionals to manage and ensure the quality of content.

“In the coming issue of ‘Bhajpa Sandesh,’ half of the content will be on the achievements of the Narendra Modi government in the past three years and the remaining half will be about the activities and programmes of Delhi BJP,” said Mr Tiwari.
