Woman kidnapped six years ago found, accused held

During investigation, it was revealed that accused person had married the minor girl and has two children from this wedlock.

New Delhi: The team of Dwaraka police traced a minor girl after six long years when she had gone missing from her home. Police arrested one accused namely Faujdar and recovered one girl both of whom had been untraceable for six years. Police said that on December 20, 2012, complainant reported that his minor daughter (aged 16 years) was missing from their house. Upon his statement, a case of kidnapping was registered at police station Dwarka North and investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation, it was revealed that one faujdar had kidnapped the girl. All out sincere efforts were made to trace the minor girl and accused Faujdar but he couldn't be traced.

The accused Faujdar was declared Proclaimed Offender by the Court order dated September 30, 2013. A drive to trace the victims of missing/kidnapped cases was launched in Dwarka District recently. All such cases were scrutinised and teams of different police stations were sent to possible hideouts of accused person, said the police. A team raided and collected information about the accused person. The efforts of the team yielded result and accused police officer was arrested from Uttar Pradesh and the minor girl was recovered.

During investigation, it was revealed that accused person had married the minor girl and has two children from this wedlock. Faujdar is told to be 29-years-old. He works as a labourer in Behraich. He was 23 when he eloped with minor girl and later they married and settled down. Now, they have two children and the two work as daily wage labourers.
