Delhi: Doctor molests 19-yr-old nursing student, arrested
The doctor assured the victim that he would get her admitted to a good college and held her hand forcibly, the police said.
New Delhi: A doctor was arrested for allegedly molesting one of his students on the pretext of getting her admitted to a good nursing college, the police said on Saturday.
The 19-year-old victim, who lives in Narela, had been taking coaching classes for a nursing course from a private institute, they added.
On October 4, Md Iqbal Shah (49), a visiting faculty at the institute, allegedly sent the other students away and called the victim to his room.
He assured her that he would get her admitted to a good college and held her hand forcibly, the police said.
The woman managed to escape from there and subsequently, narrated the incident to her parents who approached the police.
Shah was arrested on Friday.
He was produced in a court on Saturday which sent him to judicial custody.
Shah also runs a doctors' polyclinic from a rented property in Narela.
