Taking a jibe on Mr Kejriwal offer to send water train to drought affected Latur last year,
New Delhi: The BJP hit out at the AAP-ruled Delhi government over power outages and irregular water supply in the city, accusing it of taking a political revenge from Delhiites for their defeat in the recently-held municipal elections.
Recalling chief minister Kejriwal’s words during the civic elections campaign, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that chief minister had openly said that if AAP lost MCD polls then people should be prepared for power tariff hike and a tough summer and today we are witnessing the same.
Delhi BJP in-charge Shyam Jaju and Mr Tiwari announced that party will hold a massive demonstration at chief minister’s residence on Thursday to expose the Kejriwal government’s failure on power and water supply. The Delhi BJP has also written to lieutenant-governor Anil Baijal to call an all-party meet to discuss government’s failure to bring power and water supply summer action plan.
”Yesterday’s press conference by the government was just a face saving game and Delhi BJP will go amongst the people to apprise them on the Kejriwal government’s total failure. Nothing can be a bigger farce on the people than the Mr Kejriwal’s again repeating his old chant of penalty on discoms for unscheduled power cuts,” said Mr Tiwari.
Taking a jibe on Mr Kejriwal offer to send water train to drought affected Latur last year, Mr Jaju said that instead of sending water to Latur or other places chief minister must ensure proper water supply to Delhiites.
