New Delhi: The Election Commission on Friday issued a showcause notice to Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for posting a “Hind-Muslim” video on his Twitter handle to target the Opposition, saying prima facie it has the potential of disturbing communal harmony. Mr Kejriwal has been asked to respond to the notice before 5 pm on Saturday, the day of polling in Delhi.

An FIR was registered against the Aam Aadmi Party over a spoof video of popular Bollywood film “Sholay” in which Union home minister Amit Shah is shown as “Gabbar”, police said on Friday.

The FIR was registered on January 25 by the special cell of Delhi Police on the complaint of the Bharatiya Janata Party, they said.
