New Delhi: BJP president Amit Shah is all set to join party workers in a march against the “political murders” of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers in Kerala on Sunday in the national capital.

Mr Shah on Tuesday launched a fortnight-long march, ‘Jan Raksha Yatra,’ in Kerala to protest against the alleged political violence unleashed by the Left party.

He also announced a two-week “padyatra” in all the state capitals from Wednesday against the CPI(M)’s alleged targeting of his party’s workers. Union minister Jitendra Singh will flag off the “padyatra” in Delhi.

Several celebrities are expected to join the “padyatra” in the city. On Wednesday, the padyatra will start from the Delhi BJP state office at Pundit Pant Marg and end at the CPM office at Bhai Veer Singh Marg.

Sharing details of the two-week-long padyatra, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari told this newspaper that Mr Shah will march with 10,000 BJP workers on October 8 to protest against the killing of rivals by the CPM led government in Kerala.

“Every day, one celebrity from the field of sports, film, literature, and intellectuals, who are against killing, will join the march in the capital,” said Mr Tiwari.

According to party sources, cricketer Gautam Gambhir, BJP member and Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan among others will join the march. Several artists from the national capital will also participate in the two-week-long protest march.

Mr Tiwari questioned the silence on the part of the human right activists, filmstars, and others who make hue and cry whenever someone from a particular caste or religion is killed.

“Why are they silent against the ‘political terrorism’ of the Left government in Kerala? Why are they not talking about the killings of the BJP/RSS workers by the Left government?” Mr Tiwari asked.
