New Delhi: Tension prevailed late on Wednesday night  when the body of a 15-year-old student was found under the Shahdara flyover.

The police said that the deceased boy has been identified as Luv Sharma, a resident of Mansarovar Park. He was found lying in a pool of blood under the flyover. His headphones were also found lying next to him.

Luv Sharma, a Class 9 student of St Joseph School, had gone to school on Wednesday. He returned home and around 7 pm again headed out on his bicycle after he received a call.

The incident came to light when a passerby informed the police control room around 9 pm about someone falling from the flyover. Preliminary probe reveals that a witness to the incident allegedly told the police he saw Luv jumping from the flyover.

The family of the deceased, on the contrary, alleged that he has been murdered and demanded a probe.

A family member of the deceased told the probe team that on Wednesday some boys had gone to their home. Luv left with them and didn’t return. However, the news of his death followed.

A police team is verifying the footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the nearby area and is also speaking to the locals to ascertain what transpired on Wednesday night. A case has been registered and the police is probing in this connection.
