New Delhi: The CISF and DMRC staff have filed counter FIRs after a scuffle on May 31, which affected the Metro services for around 20 minutes. In its complaint, the CISF staff has claimed that metro officials grabbed him by his uniform and tried to snatch his service revolver and later assaulted him. Rejecting the allegations, a DMRC official, in a counter FIR, has alleged that four CISF personnel went to the station manager’s room, where they took him at gunpoint and threatened him. The matter will come up for hearing in a local court on July 5.

Complainant CISF sub-inspector Dheeraj wrote in FIR: “On May 31 at about 10.15 am CISF sub-inspector P. Jayaprakash had parked his official motorcycle at Dwarka Sector 21 Metro station and submitted the key and helmet at checking point and asked duty personnel that if anyone wants to remove the bike, they may remove as he is in hurry to attend the coordination meeting to be held at Dhaula Kuan Metro station.”

But when, at about 12.20 pm Mr Jayaprakash, reached the parking area, he noticed that his motorcycle was deflated. He informed the matter to the sub-inspector and went to a nearby petrol pump to get his tire fixed. After scanning the CCTV footage, the sub-inspector came to know that the motorcycle was deflated by Mr Nitin, who works a private security guard at Metro. He was instructed by Metro officer Shambu Gupta to do so.

“I went along with CISF SI Vineeth V. to the office of Mr Gupta to enquire the matter. On questioning, Mr Gupta immediately provoked and misbehaved with me. He called us “naukar” and asked why the bike was parked in the alighting point area. He was not ready to listen to us. He also grabbed me by my uniform collar and dragged me, leading to injury on my chest. When SI Vineeth tried to pacify Mr Gupta, he then indulged in a scuffle and tried to snatch the service pistol of Vineeth.”

However, Mr Gupta in his FIR claimed: “On May 31 around 10 am, I noticed that CISF staff  had parked three two-wheelers at the main gate of Metro station which could be dangerous for the Metro security. I asked guard Nitin about these vehicles. Around 12.40 pm, four CISF personnel barged inside my room, abused me and later thrashed me. Two of them are SI Dheeraj and Vineeth.” He alleged that CISF persons illegally parked their vehicles which create obstruction in his official work.

while I cant recognize the other two. After thrashing me they smashed my laptop and mobile phone. Later both sub-inspectors unlocked their pistol and threaten to shoot me. They also threatened not file any complaint against them or I would face dire consequences.

Gupta further alleged that SI Vineeth V had a verbal spat earlier over one unauthorised passenger, threatened him to see him later. He alleged that CISF persons illegally parked their vehicles which create obstruction in his official work.
