New Delhi: With elections in Delhi approaching, BJP heavyweights have begun converging in the national capital. While party president Amit Shah and Union home minister Rajnath Singh held rallies in Delhi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a mammoth rally at Ramlila Maidan on May 8.

Addressing a public meeting in Vasant Kunj, Mr Shah said that Pakistan became isolated today as Masood Azhar was declared a global terrorist by the UNSC. “Pakistan which exported terrorists and has been the hotbed for terrorist training camps was exposed today. It is the victory of Modi government’s strong policy which has isolated Pakistan globally,” Mr Shah added.

The BJP president addressed the meeting in support of party candidates for Lok Sabha polls, Meenakshi Lekhi and Ramesh Bidhuri.

Mr Singh said that sedition laws will be made more stringent after the party returns to power. Addressing a gathering in Shastri Park in Northeast Delhi, in support of party candidates Manoj Tiwari and Gautam Gambhir, Mr Singh paid tributes to the policemen who were killed in Maharashtra’s Naxal affected Gadhchiroli district.
