New Delhi: Taking cognisance of incidents of violence, the central leadership of BJP has warned people involved in these incidents to toe the party line or face the music.

The BJP central leadership has also taken a serious note of the continuous media leak of these incidents and conveyed to the state unit that people concerned should not share details of such unfortunate incidents or downplay such events which go against the party. The three-member committee formed to probe the violence in Krirai is reportedly dissolved.

On September 22, a scuffle broke out at a party event in Kirari Assembly constituency in which three women councillors, including its Mahila Morcha president, were allegedly involved. A complaint in this regard was earlier made to the senior party leaders against Mahila Morcha president and municipal councillor Poonam Parasar Jha and her husband Anil Jha, a former MLA.

A party insider said that the central leadership is unhappy with the incident and has asked the state leadership to convey to all those involved in such violent acts to put their differences aside and follow the party line or be ready to face the strictest of actions.

“Sunday’s incident in Kirari overshadows the party’s ambitious programme to reach out to unauthorised colonies in 22 Assembly segments. The central leadership is unhappy that a violent turn of event in one such programme was talked for almost a week and no one talked about the programme in the 21 remaining Assembly segments.
