Uber is one of the most popular online taxi aggregator platforms globally, but while it faces opposition in India and other places from local public transport, there is one very peculiar issue with customers that seems to be bothering the firm a lot.

While there have been cases of Uber drivers sexually harassing passengers, the firm is asking clients to not have sex in the cabs, no matter who is involved.  The firm has a no sex rule, which it describes as a regulation for no sexual conduct with the driver or fellow riders, no matter what.

The rules come in addition to restrictions on flirting and throwing up under influence of alcohol as well and are instrumental in the wake of complaints against drivers since the rules can clearly draw a line.

Although the rule is being seen as a way to curb cases of sexual assault by drivers, it seems more directed at couples rather than an effective step in the direction of preventing drivers from indulging in sexual misconduct.
