The rising awareness around the role of sex in relationships has also started a conversation about the female orgasm. While many are trying different ways to ensure pleasure for women in bed, most are only focussing on clitoral stimulation and orgasm through penetration.

Meanwhile there’s more to orgasms than what a lot of people believe, and a doctors claims shed some light on this. Los Angeles based surgeon Kristi Funk says that stimulating the nipples may be enough for an orgasm for one in three women.

Since 20 percent women never get an orgasm, she says it’s important to let partners know about their erogenous zones which may vary. Previous studies have also pointed out that stimulating the nipple and the clitoris actually affects the same part of the brain.

This shows it is extremely crucial to indulge in foreplay apart from intercourse and introduce some nipple play as well to ensure a healthy sex life.
