Baby elephant discovers joy of a pool

Baby elephants often make for some of the most adorable videos that are to be found online. It should not come as a surprise when this calf’s antics took the internet by storm.

Beginning of June saw this baby being born to an elephant names Seeni prematurely. Its mum was unable to produce any milk and rearing this bundle of joy became a full time job for zookeepers at Pittsburg zoo.

Recently the dedicated team posted a video online where the baby elephant was taken for the first time to a pool and she can be seen making a splash in the hot weather by playing in an inflatable paddling pool.

While it looks like she has misunderstood the purpose of the pool when she first steps foot in it, it does not take much time for her to figure out that it is something she will love.

The baby elephant is soon seen in her element as she enjoys a shower from a hose pipe while she splashes around in the pool

The three-week-old female, who has yet to be named, is encouraged by keepers to cool down in the child-sized pool at Pittsburgh Zoo in the US.

At first she misunderstands purpose of the pool as she dips a foot in the water.

She is even seen taking a drink from the zoo as she precariously tries to balance her trunk to her mouth, a trick she is still picking up it seems.
