Clare Wainwright, from Sydney, Australia, who was shocked to discover she had AUS $25 million in her bank account.

"In September, her bank NAB sent a letter confirming a direct debit for loan repayments had been set up with her other bank, St George Bank," The Sun reported.

The letter stated her monthly repayments would be AUS$25.1million instead of AUS$2,500. St George made the transfer to NAB.

Even though Wainwright has altered both banks about the error, the money is still in her account.

If you think she was tempted to spend it, she didn't and chose to be more responsible about the situation. "I’m a lawyer, which is why I haven’t spent the money," she told Fairfax Media. Adding, "Mostly because I figured it wouldn’t play out that well trying to play dumb on that."

But if she could spend the cash, Clare said she would use it to pay off a mortgage, buy another house or an island.
