Find out what Queen Elizabeth does not eat, according to her ex-chef

It turns out that UK's Queen avoids pasta, potatoes and garlic at dinner unless she is at a state banquet.

Preparing a meal for the Queen must be a nerve-wracking effort. And according to her ex-chef there are three common ingredients one should definitely avoid if she decides to drop in one day for dinner.

So what are the food items that the Queen avoids?

It turns out that UK’s Queen avoids pasta, potatoes and garlic at dinner – unless she is at a state banquet.

According to former Royal chef Darren McGrady, she is has a strict “no starch” rule when dining at home.

The Queen also avoids garlic and her chefs are asked to not add it to her food.

According to Darren they can never serve anything with garlic or too much onion to her food.

“We also couldn't serve meat that was rare, as she liked her meat more well done,” he adds.

So what does the Queen eat?

The monarch’s meals are healthy, low-carb affairs, usually grilled fish or chicken with two different vegetables or a big bowl of salad.

The 91-year-old monarch also adores fresh fruit, especially home grown peaches.

Despite her healthy diet she does indulge in the occasional treat and loves a chocolate biscuit cake baked by her chefs.

She even takes it with her on her travels
