Princess Diana just wanted a summer romance, claims Gibbins
Former secretary says Princess did not love Dodi Fayed and only wanted a 'summer of fun' on his yacht.
Private Secretary to Princess Diana, Michael Gibbins has now claimed that Princess Diana only had a relationship with Dodi Fayed to have a fun summer on his yacht.
The couple were killed in a car crash in Paris 20 years ago but according to Gibbins, the spark would have fizzled anyways.
Speaking to The Sun, Gibbins said that she frankly just wanted to have a lovely summer at somebody else’s expense. The pair were pictured enjoying on Fayed’s boat and were even rumoured to have been shopping for an engagement ring while there were others who claimed she was pregnant with his child.
According to Gibbins, she was determined to build a new person in whatever way possible and was probably pretty bitter and angry at the way things were turning out.
Meanwhile Mr Gibbins said he believes there is still 'much public resentment' towards the Duchess of Cornwall over the treatment of Diana and said there 'would be a riot' if she ever becomes Queen.
