In such difficult times, kind-hearted individuals are leaving no stone unturned to help out their fellow citizens.

The demonitisation of the high value currency notes in India has caused many people to stand in long lines outside banks in order to exchange their old notes. It is heartening to see that in such times, Sikh Samaritans have come forward to help out their fellow citizens.

There have been many worrying reports in the news about people fainting and even collapsing to death due to sheer exhaustion after standing in the sun for hours. So, some members of the Sikh community have come to the common man’s rescue by distributing tea and biscuits to the public queuing outside banks and ATM kiosks.

We hope that others get inspired by this act of generosity and step up in their efforts to serve society.
