Meet the generous dog who knows how to share

We often come across heart warming stories when animals go beyond the boundaries of their species and show moments of kindness that leave us baffled. Meet Lana, she is a rescue puppy and she knows a thing or two about friendship and generosity.

Rescued from the streets of Brazil by Suelen Schaumloeffel, ,the 8-month-old bundle of joy has a loving owner, but clearly remembers what it feels like to be a stray living on the streets.

Lana recently settled in to his warm dog house in the family’s front yard for the night, and Suelen brought out a thicker blanket for Lana to snuggle up with. The next day, as Suelen and her fiance were headed off to work, they came across the sweetest of scenes. It turns out that when Lana saw a homeless dog on a chilly nigh right outside the fence, dragged his warm blanket out to share it with him.

Suelen shared the touching photo with the accompanying story on Facebook, she aptly wonders if dogs can be more sympathetic than humans and notes how she was deeply moved by Lana’s act of generosity. Others have also been moved by Lana’s kindness and the post has since gone viral with over 25,000 shares

The woman has been leaving food and water for the stray dog and thinks that’s what Lana would want her to do. Unfortunately, the homeless pooch still runs away every time she tries to approach him. Still, Schaumloeffel hopes that one day they can help the doggie find a home.
