A new study finds that 10 per cent of people check their phones during sex. The study also revealed that out of the 10 per cent who admitted to checking their phone during sex, 43 per cent said it wasn’t a one off occurrence either.

According to those surveyed, the mobile-hooked group admitted that they checked their phones while getting romantic between two and 10 times in the past year alone.

The study was conducted by phone signal booster company SureCall and the findings were based on data gathered from 1,000 participants.

The study further revealed that a lot of it has to do with a person’s age as well.

According the study, those aged 18 to 34 were almost twice as likely to reach for their phone during sex than those aged 35 or above.

The study found 69 percent admitted to checking their phone while on the loo as well. That is not all, 59 percent openly said they did this on a daily basis.

Furthermore, nearly 75 percent of participants admitted to sleeping with their phone on or having the device near their bed.

However, researchers say that checking your phone last thing at night or first thing in the morning is a sign of having a toxic relationship with it.
