From pride to proud

Pride month has begun and so the series of events, testimonies and tweets, all around the world people are celebrating the pride month widely. The LGBT+ community represented by a social component of the global community that is believed by many, including heterosexual allies to be underrepresented in the area of civil rights. Pride is all about love, reflection and acceptance. And living equally in the society.

Jiwandeep Kohli, a neuroscientist, recently incorporated the rainbow on his turban for the pride month and being proud of his identity and tweets “I am proud to be a bisexual bearded baking brain scientist. I feel fortunate to be able to express all these aspects of my identity, and will continue to work towards ensuring the same freedom for others”. Retweeting his tweet, the former president of United States, Barrack obama tweets, “You have got a lot to be proud of, Jiwandeep. Thanks for everything you do to make this country a little more equal. Turban looks great, by the way. Happy pride month, everybody!”
