A healthy sex life is important part of overall well being for a lot of people and it can be affected by several factors. Erectile dysfunction is something that hinders performance for a lot of men with age.

Knowing about the risk of being affected by a disorder can be instrumental in effectively preventing it. Now research has suggested that men with gum disease have a higher chance of having erectile issues.

The link works both ways as having erectile dysfunction can also cause gum disease. It is also thought to be associated with heart disease as gum disease can affect small blood vessels in the penis first and later take a toll on larger arteries.
