Pythons are one of the most intimidating creatures on the planet that are known to hunt down the most unlikely prey. But while their capabilities are known, these massive snakes tend to shock everyone from time to time.

Scientists are baffled by a new video which shows a huge Burmese python consumed an entire deer which weighed more than the snake itself. While the 11-foot-long python weighs 14 kg, its prey weighed an astounding 16 kg.

Biologists found the reptile after it had consumed a large animal, and it regurgitated the deer when they moved it to an open area. The fawn suffered fractured ribs and vertebrae.

Although pythons are known to devour young fawns, the prey/predator ratio was unusual.
