Gwyneth Paltrow expands lifestyle empire with cannabis based products

Actress expands Goop empire with toiletry products including bath bombs and weed-infused cocktails as California relaxes marijuana laws

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle empire Goop is set to capitalise on California's newly relaxed cannabis laws by promoting a range of marijuana products which, according to its advocates, can promote well-being.

Goop, known for backing such bizarre therapies as vaginal steaming and coffee enemas, will soon be seen providing vaporiser pens and cannabis tea bags, and even pot-based recipes, including how to make a Pimm's-based 'Cannabis Cup' cocktail.

Paltrow, has admitted to smoking cannabis and is collaborating with marijuana superstore MedMen for the new venture.

A plethora of Gwynnie-approved products now feature on a Goop-branded wall in one of MedMen's branches in California, where the drug was legalised in January.

The American chain, whose mission is to 'mainstream marijuana', was even the official sponsor of a £500-a-head 'In Goop Health' conference in Los Angeles this month.

The company ran panels on the purported benefits of cannabis and handed out gift bags full of ganja goodies to hundreds of guests.

Products to be sold in conjunction with Goop include £12 'patches' containing CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabis compound which some advocates believe could have medical benefits.

Other products include weed bath bombs, cannabis-infused tea bags and luxury gluten-free cannabis chocolate bars.
