Botox is widely used by several celebrities and people who wish to enhance their appearance. But can it make any difference when it comes to other aspects of a person’s life including their profession?

A new survey has found that most people who opt for the treatment are simply hoping to look better at their workplace. They feel that this gives them a competitive edge over others hence paving the way to greater success.

People who wanted to take Botox injections simply for themselves were found to be in a minority. But a lot of people turned to it due to emotional and psychological issues and not just to look good.

The lead author if the research urged clinicians to see emotional or psychological factors as red flags. He said people who are making changes for others must be deferred for counselling.

While physical procedures provide a boost for people struggling emotionally, they also put patients in financial jeopardy affecting them further.
