Being short tempered is known to have a number of adverse effects on mental well being which can also affect physical health. But anger can do more than just leaving a person in an unpleasant state of mind.

Scientists claim that angry people are often not as smart as they think of themselves as. Research revealed that they are more likely to overestimate their level of intelligence in comparison to people who are usually calm.

A short temper is linked to narcissism as well as higher belief in their competence and abilities. Anger in people also leads to problems when it comes to maintaining stable relationships as narcissism makes them incapable of forming bonds with others due to dominating tendencies.
