A lot of people trying to lose weight can relate to the struggle of sticking to a healthy diet to make their efforts count. But while it is difficult to give up your favourite treats, there are more reasons behind it.

Research suggests that brain tissues may be responsible for people’s inability to follow a strict diet plan. Less grey matter in the region of the brain controlling will power is what may cause such an outcome.

Grey matter is involved in muscle control, speech, decision making, memory and emotions. Lack of these brain tissues leads to poor self control among people trying to lose weight.
