Pulled an all-nighter? Well, your eyes may not really be thanking you. Sunken, tired and puffy eyes are a real issue, often needing medical attention. Medically it is termed as periorbital depression, which means deeply seated eyes or hollowness around the eyes. Sunken eyes make you look old, tired or exhausted and unhealthy. The health condition is spotted in healthy individuals too.

Why does it appear?

  • Due to loss of moisture and volume.
  • External factors like stress.
  • Internal factors like lack of sleep, dehydration, loss of collagen, thin skin under the eyes, loss of sub cutaneous periorbital fat pads and improper diet.
  • Reduced anti-oxidants in the body.
  • Hereditary factor.

Basically put, dark circles are the tan or pigmented kind of appearance. This occurs mostly in the underside of the eyes. Dark circles appears due to the factors discussed above as well in addition to that anaemic nature, vein show, less ferritin levels and multi-vitamins in the body. Hereditary also considered as one of the etiological factor.

While you may turn to a healthy leaf, and start eating health; using Hyaluronic acid fillers are best suggested if the problem is severe.

The treatment is initiated by correcting the etiological factor. Hence, opting for a Juvederm hyaluronic acid filler is best recommended. This  volumises and rejuvenates by hydration,  reducing the venous show. On the contrary to the popular belief, fillers are actually a great option to treat puffy eyes. So, let those peepers to shine!
