Bread Pakora Recipe

Ingredients

  • Bread slices 4-5
  • Gram flour (Besan) 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder 1/4th tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder to taste
  • Garam Masala powder 1/4th tsp
  • Water for batter
  • Oil for frying

Method

  • Cut bread slices into desired shapes (like triangle, rectangle etc.)
  • In a bowl, add gram flour salt, chilli powder, garam masala, ajwain. Mix well.
  • Now, by pouring little water at a time, make a smooth batter (neither too thick nor too lose.)
  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Dip bread pieces in the batter. Fry, on medium flame, until crisp.Serve bread pakoras hot with green chutney and tomato sauce.

Chatpata Tortilla Recipe

Ingredients

  • A handful of tortilla chips
  • Aloo bhujiya 2-3 tbsp
  • Corn 4-5 tbsp
  • Simla mirch (chopped) 3-4 tbsp
  • Tomatoes (chopped) 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilli flakes to taste
  • Mustard powder to taste
  • Mayonnaise (egg or egg less) 2-3 tsp
  • Onions (chopped) 2 tsp
  • Method
  • Mix tortilla chips, aloo bhujiya and corn in a bowl. Now, add simla mirch and tomatoes. Mix well. Sprinkle salt, chilli flakes, mustard powder and mayonnaise, whisk well. Squeeze lime juice over it just before serving. Serve immediately
