Vintage florals are back in fashion!  Talking of housewives, there has been resurgence on the runways for vintage-look floral, the kind women would have once worn in the  40s and 50s. And made its way back to the runway and to the wardrobes of fashion bloggers and enthusiasts.

Bengaluru-based designer, on being asked what she thinks about the style, Ritu Seksaria says, “Fashion repeats every 20 years. Vintage florals have always been classics. In the 40s and 50s era reminds me of the classic Parisian looks. Vintage florals have a certain versatility that never fades. No one can ever go wrong while picking out a vintage floral print! In today’s world, where women have power and world of feminism, vintage florals are subtle, delicate and mesmerising. Ways to style it have always been pairing up with contrast solids be it traditional sarees or ready to wear garments styling vintage florals have always been subtle.”

Nishit Gupta, a fashion director  says, “Eye-popping florals for spring have become unconventional and groundbreaking this year. They are back in a big way for another season and they are more beautiful than ever before.  The toughest part is to style these florals, as they seem very similar to the regular florals but has their own unique look that sets them apart.

Stylist and blogger Nischita Babu says, “Pulling out the simple floral ensembles can be a lot easier or to see the same genre of bloom-smothered prints. Take the ‘simple’ out of it and experiment floral style lending in embracing statement sleeves with the frills and billowing sheer fabrics. Opt for dark color combinations over pastels where the florals would standout out claiming a fashion faithful style. Enclasp the retro sentimentality, no matter how big or curtain like the floral prints are, make the bold florals as your top fashion priority and that they are sure to take your spring summer wardrobe by storm.”

Agreeing to the same idea, Revika Podar a young designer says, “Florals have always been the first choice for any designer for a summer look no matter how cliche’ it gets you can never run out of enough prints and designs. The best way to wear this fabric is I believe when worn as a vintage ’80s look dress, with the short collars on your neck and a little pearl jewellery paired along with that. Many celebs like Taylor Swift, Emma Watson and even our bollywood star Alia Bhatt have been seen sporting this ’80s classic vintage look.”
