Just when you thought you’d seen it all, enters Holographic hair. This is a good time to be alive if you love experimenting with your hair.

Holographic hair took over your news feed on Instagram and Facebook a couple of months ago. And, it has been going viral ever since. This hair trend is bold, sexy and here to stay!

Holographic hair is a blend of pastel hues like pink, blue and green on a light background which could be ash blonde or grey. Of course, it’s not easy to get the final look, as Indians, we are blessed with deep, dark coloured tresses.

Procedure: The treatment takes a couple of sittings, maybe two-three sittings just to lighten your hair (depending on how dark it is) and then another sitting to get the holographic dyes put on!

So, your journey would begin with getting lighter hair, which would require a few sittings after which the hues would be painted on!

Seems like a task, but if you are patient and dedicated to follow the trendiest look of this season, it’s all worth it.

Points to note: Be sure of the pattern/colours you’d like to go for.

Get in touch with a reliable stylist after doing your research.

Post-colour care is super important! Consult your stylist for maintaining the colour, and for hair care.

You wouldn’t want your colour fading out soon after you’ve got it done, for which your have specific colour protecting shampoos and conditioners. As we all know, colouring your hair equals to damaging it, to save that from happening please get yourself a damage repair mask.

Don’t be a scrooge:  The trend is for the experimental. You will have to shell out a few bucks to achieve the desired quality. But,  don’t cut corners with this one. The number of sittings and the length and thickness of your hair will amount to your total money spent.

A session by a professional costs about Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 or more. At the end of it, you’ll be part of the unicorn land of holographic hair. Holographic hair is one of  the most popular trends of 2017.
