Hello, capes
Capes are still going strong with designers across the board drawing their own interpretations to come up with vivid styles to present to the audience. From one-shoulder versions, sheer options to asymmetrical variations and crop top-esque inspirations, capes are statement-making.

Gold rush
Gold is recalled as the hue that roots us to our cultural heritage. The colour not only evokes a spectrum of emotions and feelings, but it is strong and confident without any ifs, ands or buts. Head-to-toe gold is tres chic with over-the-top detailing bringing the regal element to the forefront. A bold golden lehenga or full-sleeved detailed blouse is worth checking out.

Smooth velvet
Velvet will continue to capture the hearts of brides and bridesmaids in the coming season. Velvet’s innate opulence lends itself well to channeling 17th century grandeur. Go for a vintage styled velvet garment or a light-weight contemporary option.

Heavy metal
Glimmering metallics in the form of crystal embellishments, gleaming hardware, and sequins galore, we are talking more than just silver textile. Metallic blouses, metal fringes and dresses in the hue will be prominent.

Off and white
With a hint of the Bohemian aura, the current off-the-shoulder trend is one of the hottest looks this season and there’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t join in. The off-the-shoulder design that was previously found in tops and dresses, is making its way into the  popular bridal market via blouses.

Dark knight
Whether you’re pro-darkness or not, black is here to stay with designers giving their fascinating creations a wearable spin. The bridal kingdom is not afraid to embrace the lack of hue too and one can opt for all-noir lehengas with heavy detailing, a jet black sari, dhoti-pants with crop top or jacket, etc.

New modern
Courtesy the modern-traditional wave, we can now indulge in the best of both worlds with dresses, midis, skirts and tunics getting a traditional makeover via conventional prints, patterns and embroideries. Pair it up with traditional jewellery and you are all set.
