Special edition Budweiser to be called America

Budweiser has announced that it will be temporarily renaming its beer to ‘America’ in the USA.

Budweiser has announced that it will be temporarily renaming its beer to ‘America’ in the USA. Calling this ‘the most patriotic summer this generation has ever seen’ the special edition beer, with modified packaging, will be available all the way till the American presidential elections conclude in November.

Each beer can packing will not bear phrases like ‘Liberty and Justice for All,’ ‘Land of the Free,’ ‘Home of the Brave’ and ‘Indivisible from 1776.’ The traditional ‘King of Beers’ slogan will be replaced by ‘E Pluribus Unum,’ or ‘Out of Many, One.’ To top it all, the beer can will contain lines from the Star Spangled Banner, in an attempt to woo the American populace.

Tosh Hall, creative director at the branding company behind the can redesign said, “We thought nothing was more iconic than Budweiser and nothing was more iconic than America.” What’s more interesting is that Donald Trump has staked claim to being the inspiration behind Budweiser’s gimmick. “They’re so impressed with what our country will become that they decided to do this before the fact,” he said in an interview.

Budweiser, on the other hand, has attributed the patriotic summer to Copa America Centenario being held on the US soil for the first time as well as Team USA competing at the Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympic Games.
