Well if you’re really stuck for ideas this Christmas, there’s always cocktail bitters... made from your own salty tears.
The idea comes from Bompas & Parr, same people behind Alcoholic Architecture, a London bar which offers breathable alcohol.
They’re hosting a workshop series that will let you get your tears extracted, pasteurised and tinctured into high-proof alcoholic cocktail bitters, which are then customised with different herbs and spices for flavour.
According to the hosts, there are three different types of tears — basal, reflexive and psychic, which they reckon makes for the “most poignant and personal Christmas gift imaginable.”
