The Opposition is too harsh in terming the secret meeting in Bangkok between the national security advisers of India and Pakistan as a “ a grand betrayal”. What is wrong if Indian NSA Ajit Doval and his Pakistani counterpart Nasir Janjua discussed peace and security and other issues, including ceasefire violations along the LoC Kashmir is a contentious issue and any discussion that could bring peace should be encouraged. Talks are better than diplomatic deadlock.
