More important was the author’s mention of the blinkered view of sanatan dharma being hurtful to the idea of India. For in the zeal to protect religion, Hindu apologists are rendering the state inactive, by terming any act related to freedom of speech and expression or the protest for one’s basic rights anti-national without any thought.
