With respect to the article After 139 days, stir at FTII is called off (October 29), I want to clarify that I have never spoken to Shyam Benegal about FTII and if I ever did, I would urge him to support the students’ strike just as I have done from the very beginning.
There is no question of my ever asking anybody to take a stand against the protest, as this article claims I did. Your reporter Vivek Bhavsar needs to check his sources. If this lie is not retracted, I will take action against The Asian Age, its editor and Mr Bhavsar.
