With reference to the news Trupti’s protest not allowed at Haji Ali, detained by cops (April 29), I would like to state that while on the one hand Bhumata Brigade leader Trupti Desai asserts that they “have no intention to hurt religious sentiments”, on the other hand she says she is “against discrimination”. Ms Desai contradicts herself. She must understand that the restriction on women’s entry to certain places of worship is ordained by religion.
