Reports said the crowd dragged her out, assaulted her, stripped her naked and set the car on fire. Worse, the police did nothing to stop the mob. This incident exposes our xenophobic and racist attitude. After this incident, all the talk of India being a tolerant and inclusive society sounds untrue. This spate of violence against foreigners should not be tolerated. Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah must ensure that the guilty are punished.
