Jats, who make up 29 per cent of Haryana’s population, are politically and economically well off. They’re better off in terms of education too. The demand to be declared OBC will help them access the 27 per cent OBC reservation in government jobs. Targeting policemen and burning private vehicles, homes and offices, and even toll plazas, is anti-nationalism at its worst.
