As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is “pained” by the incidents in Karnataka, that the CM intends to meet the PM and impress upon him to hold talks with Jayalalithaa to resolve the dispute is a positive sign. While fringe elements indulged in vandalism, that the CMs will talk about the safety of linguistic minorities in each others’ states shows how much they care. One hopes that the periodic face-off will put an end to the issue and it is settled amicably once for all.
