In response to your editorial, Prabhu's Budget: A please-all (Feb.26), I would like to state that this Railway Budget is worthy of being called a “people’s budget”. It focuses on the care and comfort of every rail commuter from children to senior citizens. Instead of announcing trains to score political points, the four new trains are class-specific, depending on purchasing power. It is important that we note minister for railways Suresh Prabhu’s attempts to turn a new leaf in budgeting the railways by focusing on restructuring instead of over-burdening the behemoth.
